Our Purpose

Bridging Ancient Wisdom and Modern Healing

Nature has always held the medicine we seek. For millennia, this knowledge was passed down through lineage, whispered in ancient scrolls, and embedded in the traditions of diverse cultures. But in our modern world, that wisdom can feel out of reach—hidden behind high costs, complex terminology, or the loss of ancestral connection.

We believe that health, preventative care, and alternative medicine should not be a luxury reserved for those who can afford expensive supplements. It is a universal heritage.

Our Mission

Our mission is to bridge the gap between ancient history and modern life. We simplify complex herbal knowledge for the everyday user while providing the technical depth required by practitioners—all in one accessible, free space.

Three Pillars of Knowledge

To ensure every user finds exactly what they need, our app is organized into three specialized libraries:

The Medicinal Library

A dual-purpose resource offering a simplified guide for laypeople alongside an in-depth database for practitioners featuring chemical compositions, synergies, and energetics.

The Culinary Library

Learn how to weave the power of herbs into your daily nourishment and integrate specific plants into your cooking to maximize both flavor and health benefits.

The Aromatherapy Library

A dedicated space to explore the aromatic properties of nature and how they influence our well-being and environment.

A Gift to the Community

This app was not built for credit or profit. It was created as a Sadaqa Jariyah—an ongoing charity intended to serve as a free tool for all. Our goal is to empower the layman to take charge of their health and to provide practitioners with the searchable records they need to help more people.

Behind Rooted Remedies

Behind the Apothecary

My name is Noaf and I am a firm believer that we need to be intuitive about nature, but we must use science to support that intuition.

My journey into the world of herbs, mushrooms, and the vast intelligence of nature has been personal and profound. Over the years, I found myself diving deeper into a type of knowledge that I believe belongs to everyone—it shouldn't be hidden behind paywalls or complex jargon.

While I don't hold a degree in chemistry, my post-graduate studies provided me with the research methodology needed to verify and cross-reference the vast amount of information available in books and online. My background in Communications helps me "translate" this technical data into a format that is useful for the common person without losing its scientific integrity.

I do not deem myself an expert yet, but I am committed to this work until this app becomes the #1 resource for herbal knowledge. I encourage you to question everything and share your feedback — it is through our collective curiosity that this bridge between ancient and modern remains strong.

The Journey Ahead

We are just beginning. With a current database of over 600 herbs, we are committed to growing our library even further into a truly community-driven resource where your experiences help shape the future of this tool.

On a personal level, I am currently immersed in the massive undertaking of cross-referencing our entire database against global research as my own studies in phytochemistry, herbalism, and naturopathy evolve.

I believe we must remain intuitive about nature while using rigorous science to support that intuition; therefore, as this app develops, I am moving toward a collaborative model that consults experts across the entire spectrum—from chemists verifying molecular synergies to chefs mastering medicinal nourishment. By listening to your feedback and bridging the gap between ancient wisdom and modern life, we can ensure this resource remains a strong, accurate, and helpful gift for everyone.
